If 'Next' is there but greyed out, check what you clicked on the lesson step. If you can't see 'Next' at all, make the assignment window fit your screen. **For:** teachers creating an assignment with '+ New Assignment' ### Make sure you clicked a lesson, not a unit If 'Next' is greyed out on the lesson step, you've probably clicked a unit instead of a lesson. The panel on the right says **Please select a lesson or assessment**. 1. In the outline on the left, click a lesson or assessment, not a unit heading. 2. Check that the panel on the right names the item you picked. 3. 'Next' stays greyed out until you do.* To assign a whole unit, you need a different assignment type. After you choose 'Student Paced', pick 'Student-Paced Single Lesson' for one lesson or 'Student-Paced Course Assignment' for several lessons or a whole course. Zoom out: Ctrl and - (Windows) or Cmd and - (Mac). 2. If the chat window in the bottom-right corner is covering 'Next', close the chat window. You can open it again afterwards. 3. Scroll inside the dialog. If you're still stuck, send us a request with a screenshot of the step you're on. ### Still need help?
