Quick Guide: Steps to Teach Tomorrow
Preview Curriculum, Assign Students to a Session, Deliver the Lesson, Close the Lesson, Recommendations
- Preview Curriculum

- Go to the Courses Tab at the top of the teacher screen, and select the course you would like to start with.
- Select the lesson you would like to teach.
- Select the preview button to view the ready-made presentation and embedded assessment questions. Use the purple arrows at the bottom of the presentation to move between slides.
- Open the lesson plans to map out your class plan.
- Determine if you want to deliver the lesson using live participation, self-paced, or front-of-class mode.
- In the Transition and Legacy SEL curricula, view the supplemental worksheets to determine if you will modify any activities. Also, consider if you will share them digitally or print them out for students.
- Assign Students to an Assignment

- Click the + new assignment button.
- Select the delivery mode. When you select each mode, it will review the teacher and student roles for each model.
- Select next

- Select which lesson components you would like to deliver to students. You can preview the lesson if needed.

- If you select live participation or student-paced mode, select the appropriate toggles for the collaboration board.
- Select next
- Select the appropriate students to join by selecting the entire class, specific students, or students with the code.
- Select start
- Deliver the Lesson
- For live or self-paced mode, provide students with their login information and guide them to access the platform.
- In front of class mode or live mode, open the presentation. For self-paced mode, students can click on the lesson title on their screen and start.
- In front of class or live mode, you can use the purple arrows to move through the learning.

- In live mode, you can use the tab on the left-hand side to view your roster. You can also see which students are active.
- In live mode, you can also share student responses with the class to help bring class discussions to life. Videos are designed to play on individual devices, so headphones are encouraged.
- In front-of-class mode, you can still input class responses to questions.
- Close the Lesson
- When you have reached the end of a lesson, you can make any grading adjustments and close the assignment.
- In live mode, students who did not complete the lesson can be transferred to self-paced mode.
- You can return to the course dashboard and view the progress tab to review any questions that need additional grading or feedback.
