# Why a completed lesson shows no score

A score reaches the course's 'Progress' tab only once the student's work is submitted. Check the session first, then the course name above the grid.

**For:** teachers

### Make sure the session is completed

In a Student Paced session, a student's grade shows in 'Progress' as soon as they click 'I'm Done', even if the session still says 'In Progress'. In Live Participation and Front of Class, grades show only after you complete the session. Complete the session for any student who didn't click 'I'm Done'. Work from a single-lesson session shows in 'Progress' only once the student's result is submitted. Partly finished work doesn't appear.

### Check the course name above the grid

If a grade seems missing, check the course name above the grid: work assigned under a different course shows under that course. When you assign, check which course is selected.

If lessons were assigned under the wrong course, assign them again under the right one.

### If the students did the work on paper

If students did a lesson on paper, you can run it Front of Class and enter their grades on the last page. The steps are in [Grade open-ended answers (the orange exclamation point)](https://support.orilearning.com/knowledge/grade-open-ended-answers?hsLang=en).

### If the course stays below 100%

If a course isn't at 100%, check whether the student has finished every assigned item, including the pre-assessment and each unit assessment, and ended each assessment with 'I'm Done'.

If a course stays below 100% after your students finish every lesson and assessment, check whether any 'Additional Resources' items are still open.

- the lesson or assessment, and how it was assigned (which session type, or as part of the course)
