Can't sign in as a teacher

Go to app.orilearning.com and click the purple 'Teacher Sign In / Register' at the top right. Use that button, not 'Admin Sign In' or 'Student Sign In'. On the 'Teacher Portal' page, sign in the way your district set up: type your 'Username' and 'Password' and click 'Sign In', or click your district's 'Sign In with …' button. Your teacher dashboard opens.

For: teachers

If you forgot your password

The reset steps, and what to do if the reset email doesn't arrive, are in Sign in as a teacher.

If Ori can't find an account with what you entered, you'll see Email or username ... was not found. Click 'Okay', check the spelling, or try another email address or your username.

If you don't know your username

Ori's sign-in page can't look up a forgotten username. Your school or district admin can find it in the 'Users' list of the admin portal. The Ori team can help too: send us a request. Once you're signed in, 'My Account' shows your username. Don't know who your admin is? We'll tell you their name.

Check which account you're signed in to

If 'Sign In with Google' signs you in to the wrong account, such as a personal one, sign out of your other Google accounts, or choose your school account when Google asks.

If 'Courses' and 'Students' are empty after you sign in, you may be signed in to the wrong account. Look at the email under 'My Account'. If it isn't your district email, sign out and sign in again with your district email or your district's sign-in button.

If you see 'You have no classes assigned'

You have no classes assigned. Please contact your administrator. means you're signed in to the right account but aren't on a class yet. Your school or district admin adds you to a class. Until then you can browse and preview courses under 'Courses', but not assign them. If your district lets teachers manage classes, the 'Students' page shows a 'Manage Classes' button instead, so you can create your own class.

If Google says 'Access blocked' or 'needs admin approval'

If a 'Sign In with …' button or a dashboard tile fails, for example with 'Access blocked' or 'needs admin approval', or the Ori tile is missing, ask your district IT team to look at your district's sign-in setup. See Google says 'Access blocked' or 'needs admin approval'.

If the screen is blank after you sign in

See Blank or white screen after signing in.

If Ori signed you out

Ori signs you out after 60 minutes without activity, to keep your account secure. Typing, tapping, clicking and scrolling all count as activity, so a tab left alone for an hour will be signed out. Sign in again from the Ori home page.

Ori doesn't sign you out at a set time each day. Only inactivity signs you out.

Still need help?

Include:

  • your district and school
  • the email on your Ori account
  • how you normally sign in
  • what happens, and the exact message

A screenshot that shows the address bar helps.
